In conjunction with her first solo LP, Sandy Ewen has created a video installation showcasing a series of virtual spaces. Ewen is a professional architect; this installation subverts architectural rendering software through the creation of glitched meshes, processed reality, arrays, and intersecting geometries. Using a variety of digital processes including photogrammetry, traditional 3d modeling, texturing, digital lighting and virtual camera sequencing, these videos reinterpret Ewen’s guitar abstractions as virtual landscapes. The installation consists of one two-channel video (You Win) and 4 single channel videos totaling 40 minutes 14 seconds, with the stereo audio of Ewen’s new album, You Win.

Weird Weeds:

This video I made using architectural rendering software, in 2018.

Sheila Scoville made this video, it’s quite fun.

In 2007, Aaron Russel and I worked on making a soundtrack to Man With A Movie Camera. It was for a class I was in, I like how it turned out. Most of the sounds are me, Aaron did most of the audio editing with me watching over his shoulder.

Ewen/Walter/Smith trio:
This video was a collaboration with Sandy Ewen (projections) & jonathan Jindra (video)

Spiderwebs
Improvised duo of Sandy Ewen & Tom Carter.

Sandy Ewen & Damon Smith interview on Binarium TV, 2011

Here is a video collaborative project made by me, Y E Torres & Jonathan Jindra. We thought this performance was very humorous.  I don’t usually like when accompanying videos have sound, but the loon sounds are funny. I wouldn’t necessarily link to this here except that it is unlisted on YouTube and I might want to watch it again some day.
